Manufacturing CNC Set Up / Programmer

The CNC Programmer is responsible for writing and updating the CNC programs for the manufacturing of high quality products on various milling, cutting, and turning machines. This individual is also responsible for setting up or assisting with various machine set ups.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Utilizes his or her knowledge of tooling and processes to develop the tooling package required to manufacture specific components which meet drawing requirements.
  • Sets-up jobs in a timely manner and manufactures parts to engineered drawings, time lines and specifications.
  • Works within very precise specifications and follows engineering drawings and measurements.
  • Meets or exceeds the company standard of Service & Quality.
  • Is able to develop programs using Okuma IGF, Mazatrol and is able to hand write G-code.
  • Works to meet or exceed scheduling requirements to ensure parts can be completed on or ahead of time.
  • Promotes success, teamwork, quality and continuous improvement in the work environment.
  • Makes recommendations to management to improve productivity, safety and quality.
  • Acts as a technical source of information for management when required, including professional interaction with co-workers and internal or external customers.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Performs other duties as requested to meet company and departmental goals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • CNC Machining – 3-5 years as machine operator/machinist experience required
  • CNC Programming: 3 – 5 years of programming experience required
  • Journeyman designation preferred

Skills:

  • Proficient in writing G-code
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Cam package programing a plus
  • Swiss experience a plus

Admiral Valve, dba CPV Manufacturing is a leading industrial valve manufacturer located in Kennett Square, Pa and is looking for an experienced machinist to join their team.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • This position helps set and operate various CNC machines, maintaining quality and safety standards. This position is responsible for following procedures, examining work pieces for defects, and actively engaging in improving the process.

Qualifications:

  • Individuals must have 5+ years of machining experience; 10+ years is highly preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude; read and use conventional measuring tools.
  • Understand tolerance.
  • Be able to identify drawing elements such as surface finish, concentricity, parallel surfaces.
  • Understand thread elements such as minor, major and pitch diameter.
  • Know how and why to bore lathe soft jaws for work holding.
  • Capable of identifying and selecting generic lathe tools and drills.
  • Able to understand milling and drilling on the machine centers.
  • Able to use related manufacturing tools and equipment.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Regularly required to stand.
  • Occasionally required to lift weights (up to 50 lbs).
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focus.

Quality Inspector

The Quality Inspector inspects materials and products from outside vendors and internal manufacturing shop such as machine shop parts, metal forgings and castings, bar stock, and other assembly parts for conformance to drawing and/or purchase order specifications. Inspects assembled products and picked orders and approves for shipment to customers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Examines material, part or assembly for workmanship and visual defects.
  • Verifies specified dimensions of product or material
  • Compares product with parts list to ensure completion of assembly.
  • Rejects defective parts, and records type of defect on part, container of parts, or inspection tag.
  • Keeps legible and complete inspection records per inspection work instructions.
  • Is familiar with ISO 9001 requirements and works within the related company specific workflow instructions.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years job experience in a mechanical position.
  • Proficient in the use of tools; experience with calipers, gages, micrometers, and comparators is a plus.
